Launched this morning about 5.30 paddled out to the reef of safety beach tried some floating baits for snapper before sunrise but without success decided a change of tactics was required so put on one of my homemade lures & paddled up into the washes first cast 1 nice tailor young Brenden also hooked up & landed another nice fish Scott managed to score a nice bream & trevally Yours truely managed1 more tailor before being bitten off by a rather large fish .all went quiet after this so went out to Spiggots & scored a just legal snapper headed for the beach about 8am A lovely morning on the water regards to all getayak :ll:

Good to hear from you Wal. Was another great day today. Gee's there is some stonker tailor getting around this season. Ive seen quite a few photos already this season of fish in excess of 6 kilos, so dont be surprised if you get bitten off :ops: Thanks for the report fella :ha:
Cheers
