Hope yet at Wivy.

Trying to fish each week out here before the comp and just hopefully have a better game plan than last year.
Headed out with Noddy(Craig) thanks for letting me in the gate mate from the sailing club with a plan to troll down to the bouy line, loop round over to Platypus Cliffs,up to Brad's Point and then back across The Paddock and home again.
Wind came up earlier than predicted but it wasn't too uncomfortable.Craig hooked a yella' to be first cab off the rank.Nice looking fish too!!
Decided to head to Platypus Cliffs and give the bouy line a miss this week.Saw a few scattered fish along the way but not alot to write home about. Cut across quite wide of the cliffs and headed into some small bays out of the wind. Some fish were located sitting out wide but no fanfare.
Located some good sized scattered fish out from Brad's Pt. and we set about chasing the small shows and jigging them.Tried an arsenal of rigs to no avail. Trolled around for no luck just what the devil do these fish want to eat!!!! :snic:
Obviously not alot after I hooked a football while trolling back across the main basin. Was stoked and called it for a new PB, maybe if I went on girth I would have succeeded. Roughly 46cm to the fork.
Caught the wind back and headed north of Billies to see if we might have some luck there.Craig hooked what looked like another stonker fish to only drop it not far from the yak.Bugger!!!
Headed for home trolling but no more action after that.Learnt abit more and looking forward to getting back out there again next week.

Thanks for the company Craig and letting me in too.
Cheers.

Just have to work on getting a few in each session though. :baf:
Better armed for this year and any fog that decides to roll in too.

Eric...it is a beautiful body of water. You should have seen me fly out of the car though when I spotted those Cockatoos.Don't get to see them too often. :smi:

Cheers.

Toni nice to see you found a nice bass, and well done Craig as well.

Will be wandering out to Logan in about 10 days, for a poke around and take some GPS marks to combat any fog in September :snic:
