Just when you thought the weekend can't get any better...

WE WILL BE RUNNING A COMP, AND THERE WILL BE PRIZES! :lek:

We will have an official Midcoast Score Board at the camp, so make sure you bring your camera and brag mat/board.
The competition format will be a mystery right up until the presentation on Sunday morning, so prizes could be awarded for anything.
It will run from Friday PM and finish Sunday AM.

It will be a bit of fun and will keep you guessing all weekend...

Cheers,
PF

I'll even try & see if I can get my sounder working ..... it is SO long since I've used it!!

See you there Friday late morning!

Hmmm, These look interesting for a camping expedition .... just need to make sure you have a cordless drill with you & the correct bit ....... every time I've been to Lake St Clair, it has blown a gale - hopefully not THIS weekend!!

Apparently 6 cost about $25 for medium sized ones + $16 for the hooks ...... anyone seen anything like this in Bunnings or hardware shops??

Have a few similar to those pegs Roberta, I will be bringing my cordless drill with a socket that fits them but not sure if it would fit the ones in your photo. :?:

Further to Roberta's inquiry re overnight temps, forecast is for 11Thursday night then around 14 for Friday & Saturday nights so that should be nice.

It got down to about 1 degree, but I was full of antifreeze...
Forecast is for 10 degrees both nights. I'd bring a jumper or jacket though, looks like we may have a southerly Saturday night
Wind forecasts don't look too bad at this stage.

Not expecting too much rain... but we will likely get the odd shower.
It can't be as bad as last year!

Cheers,
PF

Hello everyone,
I have some good news for this weekends outing, we have managed to get some great sponsorship for the major prize in our contest from Chris, the manager of BCF Bennetts Green. He has very kindly donated a Savage Gear 6'6", 2 piece, 1>3kg rod & a Shimano Sedona 2500 reel valued at around $270 as the major prize :glad: :glad: :glad: :glad: :glad: .This will go very nicely with the other minor prizes so everyone better be on their game this weekend. The format for this weekend will be as Paul's previous post.
Further to the rules, once a winner of a prize is announced they will not be eligible to win any further prizes.
Our sincere thanks goes to Chris & BCF Bennetts Green for their very generous donation & remember to always support the businesses that support us.
Good luck to everyone this weekend & keep safe.
Regards,
Knees, PF & Oldtimer.
P.S.
Both Paul & myself will be ineligible to win any prizes but we will be out to top the biggest & most fish.

Don't forget that there is very LIMITED phone coverage at the lake - so make sure your family has the Caretaker's phone number in case they need to contact you & they can't!!

Reach the Caretaker on 02 6577 3370.

Is there anything that you forgot to take with you the last time you were there - and REALLY NEEDED ...... in case we need to put it in??

I found my sounder but can't find the transducer! I really need to clean my garage out BIGTIME & tidy everything up! It should have been 'next to' the sounder!! :idiot:

I'll have another look today as I start packing stuff.

cheers - I should get there about lunch time, at a guess

Roberta

Fingers crossed the wind stays away - tho i think we may be in for a bit of a drizzle! :idiot:

I forgot to bring a fork last month. Had to eat tin food out of the tin with a bait knife, ended up cutting my lip pretty bad.
