Social Yak fishing Sunday 1st July.

#1 Post by ScuLL&fIsHbOnEs » Mon Jun 25, 2018 3:27 pm

Im heading out for a Yak fish - Sunday 1st July if anyone is keen.
Haven't yet decided on location, (somewhere around Lake Mac ).
Work out the actual location over the next 2-3 days. Don't care where so long as its good for weather.
Need an excuse to slow troll my debit card through a fishing store cash register.
Some new lures will do
Any takers just reply

Cheers Bones

G'day Bones,

I might tag along. Was fishing this weekend, but wasn't sure what day. Was going to let the weather decide for me. Let me know what you decide.

Cheers,
PF

Yep, I'm in for Sunday.. would like to chase some Salmon, but not in the channel on a weekend.

Marks Point, fishing toward the drop over?

I'm easy mate..

Sounds like a plan.

Launch Sunday at Marks Point, then eventually head out to the drop over.
Boat Ramp at the end Aeropelican airfield PF ??? or another launch site.

Happy to pick a fight with Salmon on light gear :egrin:

Also an excuse to go visit my local fishing tackle store for some new bright n shiny lures

Sunday should be fun

Don't forget .....

Rob Searing/MasterAngler has kicked off a Monthly Fishing Report Comp starting in July ......

Get into it!! Some top fishing gear is up for grabs - just write a report & you could win it (make sure you lodge it on the Comp Thread!)

I'll be making a flying trip down in the morning.
Going to drop in to BCF Bennett's Green to grab a few metal slugs on my way to HWS.
James has hooked me up with a new toy today :gu:

Congrats if your getting a new kayak.
Are you sticking with PA's as an upgrade or something different.

Im currently in a car heading up the coast out of Newy looking at various camping and fishing spots for future trips, its nice to revisit places you havent been in a while.

Was a nice day out on the water.
Had some hook ups, but did not land anything I would consider brag worthy
Was a nice location for launching from.
Fished around Marks Point, worked my way then in the general direction of Belmont 16 footers fishing around anchored boats and yacht club berth, then did a 180 and pedaled out to the drop over for deeper water fishing followed by the shallow submerged sand flats and channels of the smaller sand islands near aeropelican to work the shallows for flathead and whitting.
After that I pedalled my way back to shore / launch site while slow trolling SP's along the weed beds, before calling it a day.

Keen to get out again next weekend
