A Presentation will be held at the conclusion of fishing at our December outing and the member with the highest cumulative point score will be declared the winner.
(Club coordinators will be participating in the competition, however, will not be eligible for any prizes)
The night before each social outing (around 6:30-700pm) a Unique Fishing Number will be posted on the forum and facebook.
This number will be used by participating anglers at the social outing when photographing their catches.
Each social outing will have an associated target species. This can be found on our Calendar, and will also be reiterated in posts leading up to the event.
Points will be awarded as follows
- Attendance - 3 points
- Catch at least 1 of Target Species - 1 point
- Catch Biggest Target Species - 1 point
- Post report on official report post - 1 point
New members attending for the first time mid-competition will start level with current last place holder, and receive a bonus point at their first outing. To be eligible for any end of year prizes, however, the new member must have attended at least 3 events.
Coordinators may award other points from time to time for extraordinary achievements at social events.
A member is deemed to have attended, if they participate in the social outing in some meaningful way. (ie Go for a fish, cook the bbq etc).
A member who arrives at the location, has a chat and leaves will not qualify for attendance points.
To earn points while fishing, members will need to catch the target species.
By-catch of note may be awarded a point at the discretion of the coordinators, but only if included in a timely posted report.
All catches caught from a kayak be photographed on a suitable fish measure / brag mat with the UFN and length clearly visible. Length will be to the tip of tail. (Tube length for squid). Fish must be alive.
A Photo of your biggest target species caught will need to be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted in Official report by 6pm the day of the event.
Different arrangements will be made at our Forster and Lake St Clair events.
Reports need to be posted within 5 days of the event to receive a point.
A one- or two-line post does not constitute a report.
Coordinators may vary these rules should they see a need and will be communicated to all members.
